Blued Smith and Wesson 1 1/2 Revolver

This is a nice example of a S&W Model 1 1/2, 2nd issue is caliber .32 rimfire.  These were mfd from 1868 to 1875.  This particular gun has standard blued finish with 3 1/2" barrel, fluted cylinder and rosewood birds head grips.  Overall, NRA Antique Excellent condition with 95% frame blue, 70% barrel 30% cylinder blue that's solid in the fluted but streaky on the outer areas. Even high wear areas like the backstrap shows much of its original blue. Nice bright original case colors on the hammer. Screws and pins are mostly good overall.  Excellent rosewood grips have 90% original glossy piano varnish remaining with perfect wood to metal fit.  No chips, cracks, or repairs.   Good mechanics.  Barrel to frame lockup has a hint of play.  Bore is a bit dusty but will clean up to Excellent...looks bright and shiny with strong rifling. A very nice example of an early tip-up S&W.
