This is an original WW II era ammo can by UNITED for the Browning Model 1919 Gun that once held a linked belt of 30-06 ammunition.  As you can see in one of the photos, there is a spring loaded latch for attaching to the side of the gun.  Nice dark green paint with a little bit of bubbling along the edges of the base. Seal is intact. The yellow paint was applied after WWII.   Nice example.
