This is an early two cavity brass mold in .31 Caliber for the Colt 1849 Pocket revolver.  Both arms of the mold are brass while the sprue cutter is iron.  The cutter is marked "Colt's Patent" on top.  Overall, the mold is in well-used condition with a lot of small dings and bruises to the brass body.  The cavities are in very good condition and should still cast nice conical and round balls.
