Mauser Model 1895 Chilean Contract

The Model 1895 was built by Mauser for several South African states during the Boer Wars and Chile.  This particular rifle was part of the Chilean contract mfd by Ludwig Loewe of Berlin in 1895. Caliber is 7mm.  Most of these were brought to the US during the 1950's and 60's and ranged from Fair all the way up to Mint Condition.  This particular rifle is one of the more Minty ones that falls well into the Excellent category with 98+% original blue remaining on the frame and barrel.  The bolt is still bright with nearly all the original fire blue present on the bolt release, magazine charger, trigger, springs, and screws.  100% all matching numbers including the bolt and cleaning rod.  The receiver has a nice Chilean crest on the top and identical crest stamed into the left side of the stock with the date "1895".  Excellent wood overall with just a few handling marks...95% original finish intact.  No chips, cracks, or repairs. Original sights and sling swivels intact.    Good+ to Very Good Bore with strong rifling.  A good 90%+ antique Mauser priced for less than half of what a Minty example brings.  Excellent bore and action.  These M.95's are some of the best Pre-1898 antique guns you'll find for the money and remain an excellent investment!
