Ivory Grips -Intricately Carved- for Colt Single Action Army Revolver

Carved two-piece ivory grips for a Colt Single Action Army Revolver. Genuine ivory...not faux or composite material. Each panel has an intricate carving of an eagle with spread wings covering nearly the entire profile. Very well executed and quite ornate. These came off a fancy 1st generation Colt SAA engraved by a contemporary master engraver. They looked fantastic but were a bit much for the already highly embellished gun they were on. See photos...sorry, the gun is not included...just the grips. We think these would look best on a gun that was a bit more plain. Perhaps a Colt SAA with nickel plating. Our guess is these are between thirty and fifty years old as they do show some signs of age...beginning to yellow and just starting to check along the base. Brass escutcheons appear to be from an original 1st generation Colt. Very Solid with no chips, cracks, or breaks.
