Overall condition is NRA Antique VG+ to Fine with 25% barrel blue with a nice etched panel that reads "COLT NEW 30". Balance has mostly flaked and/or turned to brown patina. Barrel address reads in tiny letters "COLT'S PT FA MFG CO. / HARTFORD CT. U.S.A." Frame has 50% original case colors. Tucked up right behind the recoil shied on the left side of the frame is the Caliber notation stamped "30 CAL". The sides of the hammer are started to frost and haze to patina over their original bright polish with the back face retaining 75% bright original fire blue. Good screws and pins throughout...a few show traces of original fire blue. Grips retain 95% original varnish with some minor handling marks. No chips or cracks and flawless wood to metal fit. Good bore that's mostly bright with nice rifling...and a few pits. A nice example of an early Colt cartridge pocket revolver.
