This is what's left of a London Armoury Kerr Revolver in Relic Condition. The Confederacy purchased almost the entire Kerr Revolver production from the 1,000 up to the mid-10,000 range. This one has a good early serial number in the 3,100 range. The markings on the barrel and frame are all there and legible including the "LAC" and London proof marks. Left side of the frame is clearly marked "LONDON ARMOURY". Right side of frame marked "KERR'S PATENT" followed by the serial number. My best guess is that someone found this revolver in a semi-relic state and either stripped it for parts or simply took it apart and the various components were lost. The good news here is that it's just about the cheapest genuine Confederate handgun that you'll ever find and one that you could proudly display as is...or mocked up with few worries.
