The Otis Smith Company made quite a variety of small pocket pistols during the late 19th century like this spur trigger revolver made in the 1870's. The topstrap is marked "Smith's Patent, April 15 1873." 2 1/2" round barrel in Caliber .32 Rimfire. Overall, its in Excellent Condition still retaining nearly all of its original nickel plating with some minor flaking mostly on the on the sharper edges and flutes of the cylinder. The hammer has fading case colors while the pin below the barrel for ejecting the spent cartridges is mostly a very fine light patina with bright fire blue in the protected areas. The rosewood grips are in Excellent condition with 80% original varnish remaining. A sharp looking example.
