Smith and Wesson DA Revolver with Pearl Grips

This is a solid little S&W Double Action Pocket Revolver in .38 caliber. Barrel is a standard 3-1/4" in length with nickel plated finish and sports its original pair of mother of pearl grips. Serial number is in the 275,000 range. Antique pre-1898 production. All matching numbers on frame, cylinder, latch, and barrel. Overall, in terms of finish it grades to NRA Antique Fine with 85% original nickel on the left side while the right is about 50%. Hammer and latch still retain 60% of their original blued finish which has dulled over the years. Strong traces of case colors remain on the trigger and hammer. Pearl grips are not perfect but solid. Many of these broke over the years...but they are solid. Only flaw is some chipping on the upper right panel. Left panel is perfect. Mechanics are perfect. Latch is tight. Bore is Excellent...bright and shiny with strong lands and grooves. Very good screws throughtout with Excellent markings.
