This is a S&W Model 1 1/2 Single Action Revolver in .32 caliber with 3.5" barrel and 5-shot cylinder. As you'll note in the photos, it has most of its original blued finish intact which is scarcer and much more fragile than the nickel plated examples which are far more prolific. It also has the scarce and very desirable red/black marbled checkered hard rubber grips. These are tough to find and really stand out nicely on a blued gun. Antique production, this model was produced from 1877-1891. SN# is in the 75,000 range. All matching numbers including the grips.
Overall condition grades to NRA Antique Fine+ to Excellent with 95% original blue on the frame and handles. Barrel and cylinder show 75% original blue. 80% case colors on hammer. Screw heads show light wear to the slots but all are in good condition with some retaining their original nitre blue. Grips are excellent with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Perfect fit to the metal with crisp checkering and perfect S&W logos along the tops of each panel. Nice working action with properly indexing cylinder & lock-up. Barrel latch displays just a hint of play...otherwise tight. Good+ to VG bore.
