Smith and Wesson 38 DA Revolver --Blued--

This is a good-looking example of a blued S&W Double Action Revolver in caliber 38 S&W with a scarcer 4" barrel.   Antique pre-1898 serial number is in the 314,000 range which makes it a late 3rd Model DA.   The 3rd Model was produced from 1884-1895 from the 119,000-322,000 range.   Barrel rib has patents from 1865 up to 1882.   100% original down to the smallest screw.  All matching numbers throughout which include barrel, latch, cylinder, frame, and grips.

Overall condition is NRA Antique Excellent with 92% original blue overall.   Strong case colors on the hammer and trigger.   Front sight and ejector star have most of their original nickel plating intact (which is correct on blued S&W's.)   Hard rubber grips are in excellent shape with sharp checkering, perfect fit to the straps, and no chips, cracks, or repairs.   Excellent mechanics.   The bore is stone MINT...and quite possibly still unfired.

Important Note: We've been getting a lot of emails from collectors in other countries asking if we will ship overseas.   Please be advised that we will not export cartridge handguns or rifles outside of the United States.   Also, customers residing in NY, NJ, and HI will have to be shipped to a Licensed Dealer with a valid FFL.   No sales to NYC, SF, or DC.   For the rest of us, this is being sold as an antique collectible only.
