This is an old Winchester crate marked for 10,000 rounds of .22 caliber short blank ammunition.  Measures 9 1/2" x 18" x 4".  Its constructed of pine with plenty of old milling marks.  All four sides of the crate are well marked.  Length-sides both read:

• MADE IN U.S.A.
• WINCHESTER
• TRADEMARK
• WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO
• NEW HAVEN, CONN U.S.A.

The short sides are both marked:

• TRADEMARK
• 10,000
• .22 SHORT
• BLANK

along with numbers K225IR, 98, and 21. 

Box is in overall good to vg condition and typical of most crates, is only missing its lid.  This would make a nice accessory to almost any Winchester collection...especially to an old Model 1890 .22 Pump rifle.
